Fun and educational activities with our children are the core of MOMS Club of East Parker.
Every month we have a calendar and newsletter full of events. Once you become a member, you will receive a monthly calendar and newsletter via email or mail.
Most of the activities are during the day. You are invited to participate in as much of the activities as you would like. Please feel free to suggest an activity.
Activities include:
Indoor and outdoor playgroups | Fire Department field trips | The Wildlife Experience children’s events | Parks and Swimming Pools in the summer | Crafts | Denver Zoo, Downtown Aquarium, Children’s Museum field trips | Party On/Pump It Up inflatable bouncey gyms | Coffee & Conversation at a member’s home | Recipe exchanges | New member breakfasts | Lunch at child-friendly locations | Ice-cream socials | Holiday parades and much more!
Monthly Meetings
A monthly meeting will include socializing, introductions and a short business meeting to discuss and vote on upcoming events. We often have a craft for the children and a speaker with information of interest to members. Two moms will volunteer to watch our children and have an activity for them. Of course, children are welcome in the meeting room.
Playgroups
We have many age-based playgroups on our calendar each month. These are designed to help children of a similar age socialize, and to make friends with whom they may eventually go to school with. Most meet in the mornings before nap times. Playgroups usually meet at local parks, a member’s home, fun play areas, coffee houses and kid-friendly restaurants.
Art and Craft Days
Once a month we have crafts for kids! Holiday theme or crafts for someone special! Crafts will probably be messy so bring a change of clothes or a smock to wear.
Mom’s Night Out
Every mom needs an escape from their busy family life. Each month we plan an exciting and informal night out just for moms. Infants and breastfeeding babies are always welcome. Some outings may include: Dinner at a restaurant, movies at a theater, pottery painting, manicure and pedicure night, and game night.
Walking Club
Moms and children ride bikes, tag along in strollers, ride in wagons and enjoy the nice weather. We meet at local parks and bike trails in the spring and summer months. During the winter, we meet for a mall walk.
Book Club
The book club meets every 6 weeks, and we take turns hosting at our homes. We vote and select upcoming reading. All members of the book club have a chance to pick their own book, so you’re assured of reading something you’ve been interested in and there’s always a great variety of subjects which allows us to plan ahead and get on library waiting lists (so you don’t have to buy the books if you don’t want to). This is a very informal book club, we all just dive in and discuss the book. Kids are welcome and enjoy the open playgroup.
Friday Afternoon Coffee and Conversation
Moms bring your children for an afternoon chat over a beverage to help pass the time until dinner/family time (or until husbands come home). Moms may choose to meet at a member’s home, coffee shop or a restaurant. We try to set a time to also include moms with school age children. The best time for these moms would be after dropping children off at school.
Scrapbooking
This is a great opportunity to work on your scrapbooks while children play. Join other moms and share layouts, organization and other scrapbook ideas. Moms meet at a scrapbook business or rotate homes.
